As an independent agency, we work with dozens of markets, (32) from AAA to Zurich.  We assure that you are given the best rate for the best possible services. And we take our job very seriously; after all, we have 102 years of stellar service to keep up with!  We write insurance in a dozen states, focusing primarily on businesses and people  based in our home state of Minnesota.

The year 2008 was an important one for us. Not only did Calhoun Insurance celebrate 100 years of service, we also acquired Minnesota Insurance Network, formerly based in Woodbury. Since our acquisition of the Network, we have decided to focus on "Faces, Not Spaces." Therefore, in an effort to keep more of our staff, we've combined both offices into one space in Edina, as of August 2009.  In addition, we have agents working in St. Paul, Woodbury, Hastings, and Prior Lake.  2010 brings us (and you!) your own quoting for health, home, and auto, at your fingertips, at this website.  (Or, call us to do it for you!)

Because we treat each client with the respect they deserve, we are excited to tell you that our new client retention rate is greater than 95%. And we are proud of our record that shows our clients' claims to be well below the state and national averages, and are also below that reported by companies we represent.  That means that the people we choose to work with are safe and careful.  We want to represent insurance clients that qualify for the most credits a commercial insurance carrier can offer- and, if we cannot do that, we want to work with an interesting new client who requires our thoughts and solutions to minimize their hazards, and make them a safer place to work.

Beyond that, here at Calhoun Insurance we believe superior service is more than checks and balances. That’s why we are happy to share with you our responsibility in our surrounding community.
